Of the country’s 39.7 million inhabited dwellings, only 6.5 per cent of them had the case that they were once without access to food in the past three months due to a lack of money or resources, according to the Inegi’s 2025 Intercensal Survey.

This proportion of households was lower than that observed in 2020, when 9.2% of households in the country suffered from the situation described, and also compared to 2010, when the proportion was 9.8%.”
