“Using artificial intelligence (AI) software to interpret brain scans could triple stroke recovery rates by diagnosing patients faster, NHS England has said.

NHS England said its ‘early stage analysis’—which has not yet been published—shows that new AI software processes, interprets, and transfers images at a speed “which helps doctors make faster decisions about the right course of treatment.”

The tool has been used on more than 60 000 scans since being rolled out last summer.”
